I’ve been really looking forward to sharing my spring and summer nail picks with you as the moment the warmer weather arrives a whole new range of shades begin to appeal. I always tell myself ‘I’ll wear what I like, whatever the season’ but whenever the season changes I really do prefer the shades that seem more typical to whatever the season is – I guess there’s a reason for seasonal trends after all!
I was going to pick five favourites but I Just couldn’t limit it to five when I started to look, so there’s ten shades to share with you ranging from metallic to pastel and glitters to pearl/matte sheens.
There’s a lot of Barry M in there plus some MUA, Essie and Models Own – I really do love this range of colours.
From Left to Right we have Barry M’s Gelly Hi-Shine ‘Greenberry’, Model Own’s Hyper Gel in ‘Blue Glint’, MUA’s ‘Frozen Yogurt’ and ‘Bright Coral’ and then Barry M’s ‘Papaya’ which is also a Hi-Shine.
Here we have Barry M’s ‘Meadow’ from the silk range and another Gelly Hi-Shine in ‘Elderberry’ with Essie’s ‘Tea & Crumpets’
This last two are Barry M’s ‘Caspian’ and ‘Treasure Chest’ from their Aquarium range.
In the same order ‘Greenberry’, ‘Blue Glint’, ‘Frozen Yogurt’, ‘Bright Coral’ and ‘Papaya’ – I love these bold, bright shades for the summer, they just shout warm weather and fun. The gelly hi shine range has a lot of great shades which are £3.99 each, the Hyper gel’s from Models Own are still quite new and have some stunning colours which can be bought for £5. The bargain of the lot are the MUA polishes which are super cheap at £1 a bottle.
And, again ‘Meadow’m ‘Elderberry’ and ‘Tea & Crumpets’ – The silk range from Barry M are beautiful and offer a matte, pearl sheen which I think will be beautiful this spring and summer and cost £3.99. The Elderberry Hi-shine polish is a new offering from Barry M which I am totally in love with, the muted blue/grey shade is going to be a long term favourite for me. There’s a number of beautiful nudes that have been added to the range, too, and I want one, maybe two of those, Barry M just keep on reeling me in! The most expensive polish I’ve got in this range is the Essie which cost £7.99 but is just beautiful, this may well be my wedding polish but it has some competition from some other shades I love.
Lastly we have ‘Caspian’ and ‘Treasure Chest’ and I thought I’d show you how beautiful they look together too. These are, as the previous Barry M shades I’ve shared with you, £3.99 and the Aquarium range is very new, as well as these gorgeous rose gold shades they have some stunning aqua/turquoise shades which I can’t wait to try.
